Salmon Cakes Recipe

I made these salmon cakes for my husband the other day and he loved them so much, he asked for them again. These salmon cakes, or patties can be made in the air fryer or fried on the stove! Here is the recipe!

Ingredients

1 4oz Salmon (3/4 cooked)

1/4 cup of green onion chopped

2 boiled potatoes (I used red potatoes so they were fairly small)

1 Egg

1 Tbsp of mayonnaise

1 Tsp of Dijon Mustard

1Tbsp of Olive Oil

Seasonings (salt, pepper, parsley, basil, & lemon pepper)

Instructions

  1. Mix all of the ingredients in a bowl (salmon, egg, green onions, boiled potatoes, sauces, & seasonings).
  2. After everything is mixed, form patties and place them on a sheet or plate( I used aluminum foil since I put it in the air fryer).
  3. Set air fryer to 400 degrees for 14 min.
  4. Place them in air fryer and flip half way.
  5. Take them out of the air fryer and let them cool off for 2 min before serving with sour cream.
This is my attempt to form “patties” before placing them in the air fryer! They were sticky but easy to mold!

If you do not want to use an air fryer, you can fry them in a pan of avocado oil, ghee, or beef tallow, on medium. Make sure to let them cook for 4 min on one side before flipping for another 4 min. Repeat this cycle twice!

I am currently eating a low card diet and I have found a way to make a lower carb version. I will add that recipe soon, Lord willing! If you try these at home, enjoy:)
